The OFAC Scout^TM is a software application that was designed to help financial institutions and other government mandated corporations to comply with the regulations issued by the U.S. Department of Treasury' OFAC division in the light of Patriot Act. This law requires that all U.S. financial institutions and certain corporations must monitor all financial transactions, certain business transactions and/or customer information that is performed by or through them to detect those that involve any entity or person subject to US Patriot Act and the OFAC laws and regulations.

The OFAC Scout^TM provides your financial institution or corporation with the ability to be in compliance with these regulations in the most cost-effective and least time consuming manner.

The OFAC Scout^TM is a database-matching engine that compares the financial institutions' existing customer/new applicant database and transactions against the U.S. Department of Treasury's OFAC provided terrorist database (SDN list) built since the pass of US Patriot Act.

This "user friendly" application has a live update function that allows you to expeditiously retrieve the weekly updated SDN information with the simple click of a button.

GUS' OFAC Scout^TM software provides you with the ability to perform the following functions in an Internet based version, a Windows based version, and a .dll version:

1. Match single names against the OFAC SDN database
2. Match an entire name file database against the OFAC SDN database by uploading a file
3. Generate reports that are compliant with the U.S. Department of Treasury requirements
